The base of units are 10 w x 12 stands themselves about tall off ground. The stands do have carpet spikes on them and they work quite well. I purchased these from Aperion Audio for my vars grand speakers but they do work with other brands as well.

They weigh about 16lbs so re quite sturdy. You can run the speaker wire inside cylinders so they are hidden from view.
